Hello my dear friends. Today, I’m bringing you a review on something near and dear to my heart; candles. Specifically, Bath and Body Works candles. Before I get into the review, I want to give you a little background on my love affair with Bath and Body Works candles. I really got into candles last year around this time of year, thanks to all of the YouTube videos I watched. YouTube is truly an enabler, I swear. One day, I ventured into my local B&BW and the love affair with their candles started. Collecting their candles has become almost an obsession; I have to have at least four candles for every season for me to feel happy and accomplished. Some see it as wasting money. I see it as a fulfillment and a necessity in my relaxation routine. Thanks to Influenster, I was able to try out one of the new fall candles from Bath and Body Works in the Nutmeg and Spice scent. Let’s get right into the review.
Bath and Body Works Mini Candles

Retails for: $3.50 (can get on sale sometimes for 2 for $5)
Pros:
- The mini candles are a great way to test out the scent of a candle you’re interested in without shelling out the $19.50-$20.00 for the full sized candle. You can usually get these candles during a deal of 2 for $5 (sometimes 3 for $5), giving you a little more bang for your buck.
- The scent I received (Nutmeg and Spice) smells divine. If you’re into more of a spicy scent, this may be the one for you. The smell isn’t strong enough to give you a headache (in my opinion), but it does leave your room smelling nice. I like that.
- I didn’t experience any wick drowning with this candles which is a plus. I found that my flame melted my candle very nicely without the wax dulling it down.
Cons:
- Personally, the price for one of these is kind of an “eh” thing for me. I always say this about the candles no matter what size: buy the candles on sale. I would rather pay $5 for two of these on sale than $7 for two of these when they’re not on sale, you know? I know there are some people out there who would buy them regardless, which is good too. I’m cheap, so I always like to feel like I’m getting a sale on something, even if it’s not by that much.
Final Thoughts: Get this candle or any other candle from Bath and Body Works that you enjoy. I love their candles and always go to them for my candles first before I go anywhere else. I have only been disappointed one time by their candles (wick drowning), but that can easily be fixed by using a tart warmer. I love the packaging of the candles, and how you can reuse the glass jar after all of the wax has been melted out. If you really want to get fancy, I suggest buying one of their candle sleeves to dress up your candle. Always buy these candles on sale though; I cannot justify spending $20 on one candle and I refuse to pay that much for just one.
